Family court.
Here at the Kalmor Institute we have a special interest in the way narcissists, psychopaths, predators, and coercive controllers (people of Dark Personality) are empowered in family courts worldwide and the impact this has on children.
Family court decisions made by professionals who do not ‘see through’ people of Dark Personality result in the following impact on children and adolescents: prolonged abuse, child suicide, suicidal ideation, severe forms of mental illness, PTSD, self-harming behaviours, addictions, social anxiety, decline in school performance, difficulty in social relationships, eating disorders, and life-long mental health issues.
Unfortunately, this is commonplace.
Millions of people who are psychopaths, narcissists, and coercive controllers weaponise the justice system to further control and harm their ex-partner and children. Their key driver is control and dominance.
Long-term family court proceedings and those which go to trial, almost always involve a ‘protective parent’ and a narcissist, psychopath, coercive controller.
These cases are incorrectly described as ‘high conflict’ cases. They are not.
These cases involve a parent doing everything they can to protect their children while the other parent who is of Dark Personality proceeds to intimidate, provoke, cause fear, manipulate, while grooming everyone in the family, social circles, and friendship groups to believe they themselves are the victim.
People of Dark Personality are very different to the rest of the population when it comes to their children. They use their own children to manipulate, hide their own nefariousness, project an image of being a loving parent, punish others. They do not have the capacity to love because of pre-frontal, and amygdala brain anomalies but they can do an amazing job of appearing to love in front of others. It is all an act.
Unfortunately, high functioning people of Dark Personality are credible and seem very normal. They do not experience fear and so are brazen and compelling. Many are doctors, lawyers, military officers, executives, company directors, academics, charity workers and so present as professionally credible also.
At Kalmor we are committed to working with professionals in the justice system to fully understand the set of attributes shared by people of Dark Personality and how these manifest behaviourally in a wide range of personal circumstances, contexts and situations.
We educate on the full set of tactics people of Dark Personality use to undermine their targets, groom others, and prevent exposure and how these tactics play out in the justice system.
Most importantly, we have created a unique, world first interviewing/interrogation process based on best practice FBI work and other research, designed to expose people of Dark Personality in the justice system.
We look forward to the opportunity to work with legal professionals worldwide in increasing knowledge about people of Dark Personality, how they are motivated, how they operate and how they might be more readily exposed and held to account.
