Gordon Towan
Gordon has worked for both corporate organisations as well as consulting organisations, including the ANZ Bank (Training and Development Manager), Pacific Dunlop (National Training Manager), Clark Hummerston (Senior Consultant), The Empower Group (now Right Consulting) and more recently Kalmor Consulting. Some of his clients have included ANZ Bank, Pitcher Partners, Australian Pacific Tours, Salmat, ACI Plastics, BHP Iron Ore, Southcorp Wines, Smorgon Steel, Department of Education (Victoria), CSR Building Materials, Pacific Dunlop, Pilkington Glass, CSR Sugar, Visionstream, Mount Isa Mines, HPA and Western Power. Gordon's experience in the design and delivery of competency-based development programs for senior management through to frontline staff include: vision and values; general leadership development; giving and receiving feedback; conflict management; self management; performance counselling; cultural change; performance management; team development; behavioural change; coaching (one-on-one) and communication. Utilising his own high-level communication skills across all organisational levels, Gordon ensures participant involvement, learning and enjoyment in and from his programs. He is an accredited facilitator of TMS (Team Management Systems) and is a qualified trainer of NLP as well as certified practitioner of Time Line Mastery. His consulting role has seen him focus on influencing behavioural change of employees at all levels of an organisation and is also an accredited workplace trainer (Category 2, Certificate 4). Gordon's commitment to culture change and training and development goes beyond the field of work. He has been devoted over the last seven years to developing the leadership and decision- making capabilities of young boys and youths in the community. He is an accredited AFL Junior Coach and was voted Diamond Valley Junior Football Coach of the Year 2000. Gordon loves spending quality time with his family and has very strong family values. |
